Seasons...

"Usually it's not that warm in October"... At least this is what everyone is telling me.

It is actually kinda weird looking through different Facebook Posts and reading things like "snow", "-2°", "Frau Holle" or "cold" while sitting underneath a blue sky, sunshine and 31°C (87°F). I have to admit, right now i am not missing the cold. Feels good to be able to spend all day outside, sitting in the sun. People here seem much more active and willing to spend time outside. Exactly what I like!

A good friend knows all your best stories!

A best friend has lived them with you!!!

This morning I woke up reading those words on Skype: "Hey I just left the travel agency...I will arrive on Nov. 16th 6.05p.m at LAX!" OH MY GOD! I cant believe it my best friend Michael will come visit me in Cali! This is what I call a best friend...

Finally someone I can do all the traveling with! Vegas, Death Valley, watching football live, going to a rubber bean concert, Watching the LA Lakers, he has it all planned already.

I am sooo looking forward having him here, showing him around, eating unhealthy food, go for a beginners surf lesson, play beach Volleyball, Sight seeing in L.A., teach him how to skateboard ;-),and get tattoos (he probably won't do that :-P)! This is sooo exciting!

I Miss....

There are not a lot of things I miss since I am here in Cali! But I realized, that the things that I miss back from germany are the things I like most. Sure I miss my family and my friends but thats not what I mean with this post. It s more that when you are gone from home you start to realize, that there are a few things that you are so used to because you have them every day that you dont even appreciate them anymore (like food, habits, hobbies...). But when you cant have 'em you feel that something is missing.

For me this is most of all Volleyball... Or better, the new Volleyball Team I just started to play with half a year ago. Sure I have plenty of opportunities to play here too but it is just not the same... They play with different systems they know each other already... I dont know it s just not the same...! Lena, Patrick, Toni, Chris, Livia, Enni, Marco, Linda, Michi, Holger, Olli, Holgi, Georg and all the others I cant think of right now (sorry for that) I Miss playing Volleyball with you!!

California here I come!

I still remember watching The OC for the first time in my Mom's Room. I had goose bumps all over my body, I was just stoked. Back then I always imagined how awesome it must be to live in Newport Beach. It just looked beautiful on TV. If someone would have told me that I would live in Orange County California for 5 Months, 8 Years after the first episode was shown on TV I would have laughed my ass of!!!

I guess it s time to start laughing my ass of :D I made it. I'm here. Orange County California is my new home for 5 months (and maybe longer). I'm here for an internship at DC Shoes Headquater and I already fell in love with this beautiful place. Even better than I could have ever imagined it.

Me My life and I

Being 23 is not easy sometimes ... but it can be a lot of fun too ... I guess right now I am trying to find my way through life. But before I share these thoughts with you I will tell you a little bit about me!!

I am Kimberly a very normal (whatever normal means to you I know what it means to me :D ) 23 year old student from Germany. I moved from my beautiful hometown Mayen (in der wunderschönen Eifel) to Munich where I am studying Media-, Sports- and Eventmanagement. My family --> Mom, Dad, Sissy (Ilke) and my brothers Robin and Kenny<-- means a lot to me! My family is very athletic and I grew up doing a bunch of different activities... like skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding (longboarding), volleyball, tennis, yoga and many more! I love beeing outside just enjoying the landscape and improving my favorite hobby-->Photography!! But I bet you will find out about that soon enough if you keep on following me!

Greenberly??

Some of you probably wonder why the name of my blog is "GreenBerly". It's actually very simple, everyone who knows me can tell that I am crazy about anything thats Green. My Apartment, my cloths, my jewlery... and so on!!! I could go on forever :) The second part of the Blogname comes from Realname which is KimBERLY. Thanks to my best Friend Michael those two words turned out to become my Blogname. Thanks Spatzl :D I really love it, First because it reminds me of my Friend and Second because it just describes me in one word. I guess it is just Perfect!
